The new Master of Science in Athletic Training program is now accepting applications through ATCAS! This graduate program will be delivered over two years of full-time study (six consecutive terms/semesters). The Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The CAATE completed their most recent comprehensive review of the program in 2018-2019, and the program received the maximum accreditation period of 10 years.

The athletic training program provides two main pathways for prospective students to enter the program.

Individuals who have already completed an undergraduate degree in a related field, 以及所有的程序 先决条件, can apply for direct admission into this athletic training graduate degree program. This includes undergraduate students who are on track to complete their undergraduate degree and all program 先决条件 prior to the time of enrollment in the master’s degree program.
硕士速成课程 Pathway (3+2)
The accelerated master’s program (AMP) pathway is designed for high-achieving recent high school graduates. This St. Louis athletic training degree program provides an opportunity for students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Athletic Training in an accelerated 5-year format.
加速的St. Louis master’s program also provides an early assurance option for select students. Students who meet the initial criteria, complete the first three years in the program, and meet all graduate program requirements will earn priority placement. The 早期保证计划 requires completion of an initial screening process prior to the student’s first semester at the university.
Job Outlook
根据美国.S. 劳工统计局, the athletic training profession is projected to experience a 23% increase in employment from 2020-2030 (much faster than the 8% average growth rate of occupations).
Graduates will take the Board of Certification (BOC) examination to become certified as an athletic trainer.
- Lindenwood’s first-attempt pass rate on the BOC examination over the last three years (2021-2023) is 93%.
